Medicare Rates

$250 for appointments ($108.15 Gap Fee)

$210 concession rate ($68.15 Gap Fee) - for Health Care Card holders

Our Geelong Psychologist charges significantly below the standard fee recommended by the Australian Psychology Society.

A Mental Health Treatment Plan from your General Practitioner is required to access a Medicare rebate of $141.85 per session for up to 10 sessions each calendar year. This can be emailed to us or handed to your psychologist during your first session.

Payment

We have a number of convenient payment options.

The option to is available pay via Card Payment (EFTPOS machine and over the phone), Cash and Bank Deposit.

Funding schemes

In addition to Medicare, our Geelong Psychologist is also able to see clients through:

  • NDIS (Self-Managed and Plan Managed) - No cost to participants

  • WorkCover Victoria - No gap fee

  • Transport Accident Commission - No gap fee

  • Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) - No gap fee

  • Victims of Crime (VOCAT) - No gap fee

  • Private Fee

These are charged according to the price guide of each scheme .

If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim part of the session cost. Unfortunately we are not able to submit these claims on your behalf, so it is best to check with your provider about your level of coverage and their claim process prior to your appointment.

Cancellation Policy

Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice for any change or cancellation of an appointment. Cancellations within this time frame will incur a $75 fee, no shows will incur the full session fee. This cancellation fee is to ensure we can continue to run the clinic.

Training to become a clinical psychologist in Australia is a minumum 8-year commitment.
